As the winners of this highly coveted title, these bands have proven themselves to be the best among the many talented artists in Philadelphia.
1 Penn Band

The Penn Band, founded in 1897, is one of 60+ performing arts groups at UPenn. The group has nearly 120 members and frequently performs at various on-campus functions such as football games, homecoming weekend, move-in, and more. Penn Band is notable for their scrambling band formation, which ignores typical marching band formations. Everyone is encouraged to join Penn Band and meets on Mondays at the Platt Center at 6pm.
